Springfield Memorial Hospital Emergency Room

The wait time was significantly longer than expected. I arrived around 2:00 PM and left approximately 11:00 PM, despite only having a short visit. I did manage to squash a couple of bugs during my wait. However, this was the only negative aspect of the experience. The medical staff in the ER were excellent. They did their best to explain what was going on and what they were doing, which helped me understand the situation better. And once I was placed in a room, I was immediately seen by a doctor, which happened to coincide with when the nurse was taking my vitals. Doctors explained my condition and the results of my tests. I was then able to leave. I would give 4 stars if it weren't for the lengthy wait times.

I would give a zero if I could. My surgeon sent me for an emergency MRI incase the surgery that I had on 11/24 had complications.We arrived at 4:30. It's 9:33 and I am still waiting! I have never seen such incompetence. I just need to know what is going on and if I will be admitted. We are still in the waiting room. Ridiculous

The nurses and doctors were kind and considerate. It was very clean. The nurses made sure I had all my information to go home with after my procedure. And they called the next day to make sure I was doing okay.

If I could rate this hospital zero stars, I would. I will not divulge personal details, but essentially I had to rush my wife to urgent care that morning, and urgent care sent us to the ER due to, according to them, the severity of the situation. We arrived at Springfield Memorial around 9:30 AM, but did not end up leaving for about six and a half hours. Meanwhile, during that time, we were bounced around nurses without any idea of what was going on. The last time we got information in that timeframe before we finally departed was around noon, so we waited almost 4.5 hours for anybody to finally get to us and give us some answers (which even then was “we don’t know what’s wrong.”) Meanwhile, people who came in after my wife were seen and departed in the time we sat in the waiting room to b

07/19/2025 I went to this ER because I was having high blood pressure, blurry vision, a headache and chest pain. I checked in at 9:00 PM and waited in the lobby till 3:15 AM and still wasn’t seen. 2 people who checked in after me got called back while I was still sitting in the lobby. The lady at the front desk who checked me in called me up and stated my name got bumped off the list after waiting there 5 hours, that it happens sometimes. I finally had enough and left and I will NEVER go here again. I would rather die in a dumpster than go to this hospital again.
