Mann-Grandstaff VA Medical Center is the best medical facility in the area and in my opinion the best VA medical center in the VA system and I’ve been to several. The staff is outstanding and the services offered are varied and complete. The center has a robust community care program and their referrals connect patients with the best medical professionals in the community. I absolutely trust my medical professionals here. Appointments can be a challenge due to the high population in the region but urgent care is available and can be much faster for treatment of the usual ailments. There are optometrists, and audiologists, and other specialists available. They have lab, pharmacy, prosthetic and physical therapy practices, along with shot clinics during flu season. I went to urgent Care twice in about a 2 week period for shoulder pain. I was given an injection of a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory each time. There was no improvement. My shoulder was getting worse and I was getting nowhere with the VA. As an alternative I went to Northwest orthopedics and they did an MRI on my shoulder and discovered a torn rotator cuff. The VA never got a diagnosis but they planned to put me through physical therapy. That plan would have severely damaged my shoulder and I would have needed surgery if I even thought I could have participated in physical therapy. I have absolutely zero confidence in the providers at the VA. I'm glad I have other insurance and Medicare. They were able to get me the diagnosis that the VA didn't. They refuse to admit their mistakes and so

I have been to several departments over the last year…primary care, urgent care, hearing, optical, pharmacy, podiatry, gastrointestinal, and others. Every single person I had interaction with was polite, friendly, professional, and all expressed gratitude for serving me. The facility is clean and modern. I have had better care here in the last year than most of the private sector healthcare industry I visited over the last 40 years. They truly care! Thank You!

First time visitor for an appt. The information desk lady was sweet and helped me get to where I needed to be. The check in was smooth, the dr. I saw was super nice and I felt very comfortable talking to her about why I was there. 22 years later, I am finally standing up and using the benefits I earned. Thank you!
