I was very impressed with Southwood Smiles. The office staff was very helpful and friendly. The doctor was kind and patient. William had a hard time settling down but they were able to get their work done. He wants to go back for a cleaning. Thank you so much for your care.

I visited this office when they were operating under the name Affordable Dentistry Today (Dr Akin). During my appointment, I was told I needed both a panoramic (360°) X-ray and a large number of additional individual X-rays. I explained that I had concerns about that amount of imaging and noted that ADA and FDA recommendations emphasize taking X-rays only as clinically necessary. Their response was that they had a ‘fiduciary responsibility’ to take all of the X-rays they were recommending. I disagreed with this explanation and ultimately chose to leave without receiving treatment. This was my personal experience, but I strongly encourage patients to ask questions and make sure they understand why any imaging is being ordered. I was so nervous but the Dr and the Tech or assistant made me feel do great i never had that many extractionsvat same time omg i made it thru and now it's Friday afternoon 23 n half hours later wow im able to say Thank God for SKILLED PROFESSIONALS!!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND SOUTHWOOD SMILES DENTAL!!!!

Wonderful people and great service! When I had all my wisdom teeth removed, the staff did everything they could to ease my pain and anxiety. 10/10
