This place is a joke, wouldnt recommend to anyone. My first appt i had was because my dentures were messed and hurting my gums and making them bleed, couple times a sore on my gums, i told him i only have them in for work due to the hurt and bleeding his response was “leave them in for 5 days straight and then come show me the sore and then maybe i will try and fix them” very unprofessional. (Wouldnt of kept going here but it was literally the only place takkng new patients) evrytime i said what was going on with them he would argue with me pretty much saying im lying. finally got an appt because they said they needed to extract my wisdoms under the gums to make dentures fit right. Paid $250.00 deposit, went in for the appt and was told i couldnt doit because i never filled out tha form th

I only gave one star because you have to. It is truly more like a negative 1000. Went to Dr Thomas because of a broke tooth. He proceeded to tell me how bad I have taken care of my teeth, told me I have bone deterioration because of maggots and bug poop in my mouth, let me know that my partial would only last at the most 6 months. I am deathly afraid of dentists and he sure has added to this feeling. Advised me that diabetics have no issues with their teeth, it’s all about how their teeth are taken care of. Any dentist who tells you he brushes his teeth with antibacterial Dial soap should probably not work with the general public. I will say this was the second worst experience I have had with a dentist (who did no work on my tooth), the first was when I was 4 years old.

Would never recommend Dr. Thomas to anyone. I went in for a new set of top dentures. When they arrived he said “They are a perfect fit” when trying to put them in it was physically impossible without an extreme amount of pain. He refused to adjust them that day and sent me home. One week later I went in for adjustments. Needless to say he had to remove a lot for them to go in my mouth. Then refused to adjust the bite (pretty big overlap in my front teeth when biting down and are also crooked) I could not believe the way I was talked to and treated by a “Doctor “ He also stated “I treat all of my patients this way”

I absolutely love going here, which I know is crazy to say about the dentist. Everyone is always super friendly, and Brandi is just the best. So sweet and careful with my teeth. Best dentist's office I've ever been to.

My experiences with Southwest Iowa Dental Associates have been nothing less than exceptional! What an outstanding group of professionals! The office/exam rooms are always clean, tidy & inviting. Staff are very personable and kind. Everyone there takes the time to listen to my concerns and are happy to answer all of my questions. I feel like I always have a "voice" in my plan of care and recieve individualized treatment that works best for me. There is no doubt I get the best service when I go in for routine cleanings or other treatments. I highly recommend this office for all your dental work!
