SouthStar Urgent Care - Lake Charles

We’ve been seen here many times and have always appreciated how informative and helpful the staff is. Today, Colin Hidalgo provided what was easily the most thorough examination we’ve experienced. He followed it with a detailed, thoughtful explanation of what was happening and why, making sure everything was clearly understood. He took the time to explain the differences between medications to my daughter and helped her understand what to look for when she’s not feeling well. His level of care, patience, and clarity made a lasting impression.

Booked online much faster . Went in for severe sinus congestion pain pressure . Was tested for Covid and flu . Recieved treatment and prescription and was surprisingly explained the best OTC drugs to take and not to take by Dr Hidalgo. I highly recommend this place . I am self pay cash it’s a little higher at 150 than others at 125 but they stay open till 8 pm n staff was fast and friendly I was in and out in less than a hour with everything I expected to get plus some knowledge that’s priceless

I tried 3 times to reach a person on SouthStar's (horrible)very impersonaI automated system. Three times it directed me to agents who were unhelpful with a billing issue. The last operator, Ronald, passed me off onto the Lake Charles office, telling me it was the central billing place. HAHA!! I called the Lake Charles clinic and I spoke with Brandy. Despite the fact that I was not really in the right department, she took all of my information and said that she would call the billing office herself and then call me back. True to her word, she called me and told me all the steps she took to get a resolution to my issue. Brandy went above and beyond what 3 other SouthStar operators had done, which was tossing me around like a beach ball with absolutely no interest in helping me. She

I brought my mom here the other day and she can't stop talking about how this clinic is the best she's ever been to. April at the front desk was so kind, patient,and genuinely compassionate. She helped register us while helping others and offering everyone in the lobby a drink. Then she was the one that brought us in the room and listened without judgement. I felt like the provider Jed showed understanding and willingness to listen. Not to many places around here offer this type of service!

Front desk staff (Brandi) and Jed (nurse practitioner) were sooo so very sweet, patient, extremely nice and helpful. I refuse to go anywhere else because they are so nice and my son loves them. Honestly the entire staff is so sweet! Have been going here for 2 years now.
