Dr. Mauro has loved my dog since he was 8 weeks old. Now that he's a senior pup, she's been so patient and tolerate with him. She has taken great care of his health and he loves going to the vet! The staff is professional, friendly, and always looks out for my pup. Thank you for all your hard work! It doesn't go unnoticed!

Doctor Mauro is so sweet with my pets!! Our cat is high maintenance and she is always right there to help us figure things out. Super down to earth and explains everything everytime. Highly recommend her

I have a very reactive Rat/Chi that the staff at Southgate handle wonderfully. The techs and Dr Muro treat him incredibly well despite him being a very difficult at times. I usually only have to wait a few minutes for my appointment but I don't mind because the care is fantastic. A big thank you to the staff and Dr Mauro!

I have been going to Southgate for years. My 14 year old staffy who has cancer needs his nails cut . He was there a few months ago to have them cut and Dr Mauro could not get them all done so we left and waited to make another appointment. When i called to make the appointment i was told they wouldn’t cut his nails until he got a rabies shot which expired a few months ago. Now reading a senior dog with cancer SHOULD NOT get a shot because it is not good for his immune system. My dog only goes out in our fenced yard with no chance of getting Rabies. A good caring Veterinarian would have cut my poor dogs nails! Take it for what it is but really check this vet out and $37 which i was told the new price was to cut nails is outrageous!! Dr Mauro and everyone at South Gate animal hospital helped us make my dogs years with us easy. We adopted a senior dog and only got to spend 2 years with her but they made them 2 quality years. Dr Mauro made every right decision she could for her and fought with us until the end. She was with us when she helped our sweet girl pass on. Everyone from the office came in to give our girl kisses and to say goodbye. I never feared them having my dog. My dog loved them all so dearly and I’m grateful for everything they tried to help us have more time. Walla loved you all. We can’t say thank you enough.
