CityMD Copiague Urgent Care - Long Island

My initial visit for a throat infection was rushed and dismissive. Which is wild because I was the first patient of the day. Also one of the female nurses who treated me early Monday morning was extremely rough. After that first visit, I worsened and needed a second visit and stronger treatment. The second provider was excellent, took my concerns seriously and was gentle. The first doctor was not doing his job well. Keep in mind when you go to this place. Don’t go early Monday morning if you can help it.

My experience was not a good one at all I came in and was greeted by the front desk who was very nice and polite I was called into the room and the assistant wasn’t too bad was also wasn’t sympathetic at all , I seen the dr for about 5 min for him to prescribe me some medicine and tell me to go home & wait 5 days for results no other information at all his name was Carlos PA I am very disappointed and more sick then when I left if you are going to work in the medical field you should really treat people with respect and do everything possible to help them feel better I feel 10x then when I went there. I am very disappointed and will not be returning

Def a waste of time. Do not come here if you are sick, they won’t do nothing but tell you take a Tylenol and stay hydrated. I need a damn z pack! If all I needed was Tylenol and water would I be in a damn urgent care? They did the same thing to my child, thank god I took her to her peds doctor where she got the proper care. This location is def a joke. Not all CityMDs are created equal this one needs to close. Then he also tells me my o2 was fine mind you the MA wasn’t able to obtain a reading so he really doesn’t care about his patients at all.

Sadly I can rate a zero star. Definitely an awful experience if you make an oath to be in the medical field you need to be sympathetic professional and most important care about the patient. José Renter PA is very unprofessional, rude and definitely should not be in the medical field. He should be coach and spoken to when dealing with a sick person to say I do not what is wrong with you is not the answered. I would never go there again or recommend anyone. We have so many other urgent care what a big mistake to go to that facility. I definitely recommend Northwell a much better care specially the one in Lindenhurst a much better experience and empathy.

The moment I walked in I was pleased. The receptionist was kind and understanding. The doctor was knowledgeable and friendly. As was the xray tech and the person who took my vitals. I'm glad my daughter suggested this place after hearing I wanted to go to a hospital. I told this to the doctor and he commented that a hospital would do the same thing but ...6 hours later... how true.
