I want to start by saying that this review is entirely about recognizing the staff at South Texas Health System Heart. The hospital building itself could use some attention. It was opened several years ago and the interior now feels dated and worn in places. The exterior landscaping is essentially nonexistent—mostly just dirt—and the parking lot is far too small for a facility of this size and is consistently crowded. That said, the staff more than makes up for it. Every single person we encountered was kind, friendly, and professional. From check-in to discharge, the staff treated patients with genuine respect and compassion. You can truly tell they care—not just about doing their jobs, but about the people they’re caring for. Excellent service, Polite and compassionate staff. They are respectful, and treat you as professionals who truly care. Very friendly, and they don't leave you waiting. Every staff member was patient and smiling. This is how patients should be treated. I highly appreciate the staff for their Professionalism, and Knowledge of their patients needs.

My mom stayed at this hospital for two nights, and I can’t say enough good things about the nurses and staff. Every single person we encountered was kind, patient, and attentive. They took the time to explain things clearly, treated my mom with dignity, and truly made a stressful situation feel manageable. Thank you for the compassion and care you showed our family — it did not go unnoticed.

I recently had to visit the ER and I want to express how grateful I am for the exceptional care I received. From the moment I arrived, the entire team made me feel safe, seen, and cared for. A special shoutout to Nurse Selena — she was absolutely amazing. Her kindness, professionalism, and calming presence made a stressful situation so much easier to handle. She went above and beyond to ensure I was comfortable and informed every step of the way. All of the nurses and the doctor who treated me were equally outstanding. They worked together seamlessly, communicated clearly, and treated me with genuine compassion and respect. Outstanding staff very profesional, respectful, understanding caring and most of all attentive to all patients. At the recovery 3 nurses in particular got my attention don't know the last name nurse Blanca nurse Elizabeth and nurse Bee to other nurse that helped the doctor do the procedure but don't know their names. Great job all of them
