South Jordan Urgent Care - University of Utah Health Care

I'm leaving this review mainly because the overall reviews are so poor for this place. Honestly, this was my best experience at an Urgent Care! I went yesterday (12/13) morning. The front staff were super friendly, going around every few minutes checking if anyone needed anything, and even had some snacks and water bottles people could take. Never seen that before and I think it's an amazing touch. After I got into the room and the doctor came in, he was thorough and sat down and talked to me about what was going on and gave me plenty of opportunity to ask question and listened when I had some additional concerns. Never felt rushed despite it being quite busy. It was a long wait, but again it was quite busy and that's just the nature of urgent care/ER especially when I was coming in for

I came in to get checked for Strep throat. While giving the back story of why I thought I had Strep, I explained that my 4-year old wasn’t taking his amoxicillin to heal him from Strep. The Physician who treated was so kind and thoughtful, asked me if I was willing to let my kid be seen again and if he had Strep, then she was going to give him a one-shot inoculation. I agreed to my son being re-evaluated and he was positive for Strep. The physician gave him the shot and this became a massive blessing for my family as we were going on a week-in-a-half vacation out of the country with spotty healthcare. I am extremely well pleased with the service both my son and I received! In the future, I will forever recommend the U of U Health Care Urgent Care South Jordan location.

Very helpful medical team from receptionist to nurses and technicians. I had labs and received a CT scan with IV contrast. All staff were very helpful friendly and caring! Really excellent folks across the board!

I have unfortunately been to many Urgent Cares and Emergency Rooms, and can confidently say that I felt taken care of with Dr Carter Mitchell and his RN Annalisa today, and that their team provided a far better experience than I ever have anywhere else. You can tell they really care about their patients, and that feels like a rarity these days.

DO NOT RECOMMEND! They are awful lmao. Front desk ladies are very weird. The Lady that checked me in was so weird. But whoever i spoke with on the phone was extremely disrespectful and rude. I needed my antibiotic’s to be sent to the pharmacy open and they said they did and wouldn’t do it. I then already gave up and went to the store because i was in so much pain. At this point the pharmacy closed. I get a text that the nurse FINALLY sent it over but i will have to wait until after thanksgiving. Not to mention my visit was also really weird. They seem like they’re very much a mess of a business:)
