South Hampton Place Rehabilitation & Health Care Center

I’m very familiar with several nursing homes, and it’s NOT EASY to work in a facility (can you imagine?) but this one is the best one. They allow their residents their dignity and freedom while keeping them safe. The staff is remarkable— kind, very hard working and seems to have a clear understanding of the big picture. They have to keep your loved ones safe and sound, and they really strive to keep them and their families happy. A special shout out to Brooksie, Debbie, Cathy, and Eva for helping getting my mom checked in and acclimated. She’s a tough patient, but you guys have the experience and work ethic to handle all of this.

I’ve been familiar with Southampton for quite some time. I believe under the leadership of the current administrator Deb that there are so many changes for the better that have occurred. I have seen her interact with residents and staff alike always in a friendly fair and comforting manner. I would recommend this facility to my friends and family

Never recommend! This is by far the worst nursing home in town!!!!!! The place is absolutely disgusting and the residents are dirty and unkept! Its appalling and I would never bring a loved one here ever! The administrator is a total joke and seems far beyond clueless of her job if you can even get her to open her door! Residents are constantly screaming with the halls lit up with no one answering call lights. Short staffed and the ones who are there have horrendous attitudes. Stay far away from this place!

Not ever! My mom was transferred here from the hospital. Supposed to be on O2 and a cipap at night. Literally, can’t breathe without it and when I asked the RN Jennifer, where I should plug it in, she said she didn’t know and asked if my mom really needed it before the morning, as she couldn’t find a plug. Called 911 immediately and removed my mother. Don’t ever leave your loved ones here. They will not be safe.

I was at Southampton from February 2025 to June 1st 2025 when I first got there. Management was horrible. They finally were taken over by a good company and things started to change the staff always did their best! Yes it's hard to staff people when nobody wants to work anymore and take care of people who are old and grumpy and don't want to be in a place where they don't feel they belong after being a human for so long and then being somewhere you lose all self-worth so they have to put up with a lot and so do we! The caregivers did their very best with the limited And rotating staff... I will admit sometimes the food was good and sometimes it was horrible.
