South Georgia Medical Center: Valdosta Anesthesia Associates

I had a surgery October 2020. The surgery went well however my insurance overpaid my bill 2023 after I self paid my bill and now Valdosta Anesthesiology owes me over $700. They told me they were sending me a refund and then sold their billing department to a company based in Alabama without notifying me. I have been calling and they told me they can’t pay me until Valdosta anesthesia pays them. Now the remote billing department doesn’t return my calls. I deserve to receive my money without going through hoops!This is theft. I have been waiting on a refund for over 8 months now.

They have NO local office and have sent all their billing to a third party billing company that says that can’t give you a UB40 or HCFA1500 because the have the drs private information on them sucks as their NPI and Tax IF which can be gotten online in user 5 minutes. You have no way to deal with billing issues now.

Absolutely terrible service, especially the billing. I had a situation where i was promised a refund for an overage of money that I spent, but instead my money was withheld from me and still is as I’m posting this review. They are thieves and will not contact you back if it involves them having to give you funding back. Moving forward I will be taking my business and recommendations elsewhere.

Jan. 2022 our local hospital transported my beloved Jon H. to SGMC, 4 hr. away, to have a resident cardiologist & bed available for him. I'm denied access to the ambulance. After arriving at SGMC, this hospital is locked down. At 9:00 am. One door from the parking deck opens. ER is open. Iam processed in. The 1st floor is vacant; the doors on the 2nd floor locked. I'm not allowed access to his 3 doctors; & the medication despensing Tech. was not giving Jon his AM meds, which put him in withdrawal. I couldn't get information about his condition, treatment or anything. No one listened to me or answered my questions. Jon arrived after a mild heart attack. Was denied meds causing 2 more heart attacks. They wait a week to decide to start dialysis, & a feeding tube. Every day Jon was worse. Piss

This establishment is highly unprofessional! They keep giving me the runaround for an overpaid bill. It has literally been months, and I have yet to see my money! They are like con artists. If you value professionalism and getting proper service for your moneys worth, I suggest taking your business elsewhere!!!
