Smith's Pharmacy

I was with Smith's for years. Moved for a few years and returned. Was so looking forward to using Smith's again, but the service isn't worth it anymore. How many pharmacy branches do you have to call to get your meds properly?

I am reluctant to write my first ever bad review, but there's no excuse for this lack of professionalism. I was having no luck getting a certain prescription filled at the pharmacy that I normally use. I called 7 different pharmacies with no luck. When I called Smith's Pharmacy on 2nd St in Portsmouth, OH, the gentleman who answered the phone told me that 'yes, they did have the medication'. I asked if he was for sure that they had it and that they weren't in danger of running out before my provider got the order in. But again, he assured me that I would have no problem getting it. I contacted them twice before my provider actually had time to get the order in. Then I finally had to go home after a very frustrating, disappointing day. Later I called to see if they received the prescription

Called to ask about transferring a prescription and was placed on a 15 minute hold. When I asked what the after insurance cost would be I was told that they could not / would not tell me until I transferred the prescription to them because "everyone's insurance is different." Since my insurance is very very common I asked what an existing customer with this insurance would pay for this prescription, and again was told that they would not provide a price, but if I would transfer the Rx to them they would call me back.

I Have to say best, most friendly customer service ever. They always have my meds either ready to pick up or within 15 minutes of calling. I will never use another Pharmacy again

I used to go to Smilth's on a regular basis until they started to get my medicine mixed up with another person's who name was almost identical. The last time I went there it seemed as if they blamed me. That is why it was the last time.
