Smiling Faces Pediatric Dentistry

My daughter has been a client since she was 5-6 now 13! I added my son to one appointment. I was billed a $310 bill. When I called to schedule an appointment. I was told my child would not be seen due to this bill. I called dental quest bill was paid for my child in full. However, since my other child came one time, dental quest paid for my son’s full wisdom teeth extraction at another office but smiling faces received a denial letter. Instead of informing me so that I could work with them on the issue. They sent me a bill, never once called to inform me of the denial letter. I knew my son had one dental insurance which was dentaquest. Smiling faces not once called me, discussed the denial letter, or resubmitted the claim and instead billed me. I live on NW 52nd St and my favorite thing about having a pediatric dentist at the end of the street is getting to watch their employee speed up and down the street multiple times a day in their white Chrysler 300. I mean speeding through a neighborhood, it's like they don't even like kids or something.

All I'm going to say is don't waste your time. My children (6) had been going to this clinic for years. They've been seen every 6 months for an exam and cleanings only to be told by another dentist that all of them have cavities that weren't addressed on their last visit. This dentist does not care about your children's health. I feel like it was time wasted, and she was just there to rake in a paycheck. Be vigilant! Get a second opinion if she says no cavities, more than likely she didn't even address them!

During my scheduled appointment, I waited for nearly 50 minutes without being attended to. While I was waiting, I noticed that three other families were taken in before me. Meanwhile, staff at the front desk appeared to be engaged in conversation rather than addressing the delay. In my seven years as a patient/client, I’ve never experienced this level of oversight, and I found the situation frustrating and disappointing. I understand that occasional delays happen, no problem but the lack of communication and attention in this instance was quite disheartening. I wanted to bring this to attention in the hope that it can be addressed for future visits, that other people might relate.

I’m not sure why others have been having such bad experiences because my kids have had nothing short of terrific visits every time we’ve gone! I’ve got 2,3,11,12 yo and everyone is always so accommodating, kind, and friendly! All the kiddos enjoy being able to choose a prize from the little vending coin machines after their visits as well!
