Smiles at Carolina Forest

The best dental experience I have ever had! Usually I hate going to the denist because I have anxiety about it, but they made you feel comfortable and welcomed. The dental hygienist showed me my xrays and explained everything so clearly. As a new patient I will definitely be back in 6 months!

Receptionist that answered was rude followed with a condescending snarky office manager. Had a tooth bonded there not even a year ago and the bond failed. I didn't rechip it, it literally fell off exactly where they "fixed" it last time. Mind you my pervious bond lasted almost 12 years with no problems. They do not warranty their work and told me I had to get xrays all over again prior to fixing the bonding. I have no dental insurance so this is out of pocket. Tried giving me the run around that if the tooth is infected they can't rebond it... The chip is on top of an old bond from over 12 years ago on the corner of the tooth, not on regular enamel and no where near the pulp, there is no infection. Overall, very satisfied with the visits here. Having said that, they have started the same gimmicky attempts at upcharging for services like “cancer screening “ and fluoride. I am a physician/oncologist and know better, but they offered it to my 17 year old child who thought it was included and said yes to the fluoride and was charged $30 extra. They should be completely transparent about the upcharge and ask a parent prior to offering to a minor. I’m not very happy about that. Additionally, cancer screening (if what the do is look in the mouth for suspicious lesions) should be included in their services… they are focused on your oral cavity the whole time you’re there and if they see something suspicious, should notify a patient. I have been one who dreaded going to the dentist. Twice a year would make me so anxious. Not to mention that anytime I went to previous dental providers, I always left stressed, sore and in pain due to some chronic jaw issues I have. Well those days are over! I went in to Smiles at Carolina Forest as a new patient and I was blown away how beautiful it was and the equipment was up to date. This facility is very nice. I loved being able to do my pre paperwork online before I arrived. That helped me to not feel rushed. When I arrived the check in receptionist was very friendly and welcoming. My husband and I have been patients for quite some time at Smiles CF. Recently had a cleaning scheduled only to be called less than 30 minutes before and them cancelling for an “emergency” they knew about the day before. Either way accidents happen and I asked when I could come in and the receptionist very rudely stated she could not get my in until September (6 months later). Prior to this my husbands appointment that was supposed to be canceled failed to be done THREE times. His last cleaning he had the two hygienist cared more about talking back and forth between with each other about their children and personal info then giving him the proper care and dental cleaning he deserved and paid for.
