SMH Urgent Care Center at Heritage Harbour

Be Aware! I visited Sarasota Memorial Hospital Urgent Care in December 2025. I have United Health Advantage. I paid $55 co-pay and saw the Urgent Care on-duty physician thinking I was seeing a medical provider who was part of my In-Network coverage. Wrong!!!! Apparently, the physicians there are subcontracted and therefore, are able to bill the patient separately from the facility billing. So, even though Sarasota Memorial Hospital contracts with United Healthcare Advantage to bill at the Medicare rate, they are able to bypass the contract rate by subcontracting their Urgent Care Physicians who are then allowed to bill Medicare patients separately and thus I am on the hook for $70 over and above my copay of $55. For 36 days I actually looked forward to my visits to the SMH Urgent Care Center at Heritage Harbour, Cardio Rehab. It provided the necessary follow up required after bypass surgery. But even that might not have been possible with a lesser facility and staff. Thanks to Melanie and Joshua I receive the best possible guidance, attention, and genuine concern which enabled me to progress thru my rehab. Thanks to them I feel so much better than my pre-surgery and without their warm welcome, smile, and demeanor I might not have progressed so well. The faculty was clean and well-maintained and the equipment was always in top working order. Your top score available to me was 5 stars, but I would give them and the whole experience 10 stars and would certainly recommend SMH to any potential patients

I was at The facility for two procedures, mammography and a MRI. The two procedures worked perfectly back to back. Thanks be to them!The front desk, as well as both technicians were so helpful and considerate! I am so thankful with my limited ability of their care, concern, and Helpfulness!!! It was not my first experience there. This is my fifth year of great service!

I transferred to the Heritage Harbor location from another SMH facility as I wasn’t happy with the therapist I was seeing. Wow! What a difference! I see Kristi and she is absolutely amazing! So caring, compassionate, and knowledgeable. I cannot recommend her enough. She is always looking for techniques or tools that would be beneficial to me. Kristi even recommended oncology therapy which has helped me. Michelle is my oncology therapist and she is also a wealth of knowledge and encouraging! I highly recommend Kristi and Michelle at Heritage Harbour. I’m so fortunate to have them assisting me in my journey. I can’t forget about Kayley who greets me as I enter with a smile! She’s so helpful and kind!

Check in great, staff friendly and test couldn't have been better ... only 3 stars because test results were NOT sent to my doctor!! When I found out (wondering why no call to discuss results) I tried to get in touch with SMH only to be passed around department to department, never did connect, not to mention the people answering were nasty and anything but helpful, please train the first line in etiquette and remind them the callers are either ill or generally dealing with issues much larger than routing a call.
