Singing River Gulfport - Emergency Department

I wouldn’t even classify this facility as a hospital based on the experience we had. The lack of professionalism and basic medical protocol is alarming. Staff members, aside from the check-in attendant and our nurse—who were both courteous—were dismissive and unapproachable, making no effort to acknowledge patients. The facility itself is in poor condition: outdated, with visibly dirty chairs and beds. Even more disturbing, I witnessed syringes and full vials of medication left unattended in accessible areas—an extreme safety hazard, especially for children. This level of negligence is unacceptable and raises serious concerns about the standards being upheld here.

Our nurse, Mikaela, was amazing and informative. She made our time spent there less painful than it was. Our treatment was thoroughly explained and administered. Waiting room took forever but it was worth it (bring a mask).

Brought my granddaughter age 8 to er with possible broken nose. Receptionist and staff were wonderful. Big shout out to her Nurse Jenna. She kept her calm, focused and that is no easy task. She made sure to explain all that was going on as did the PA that night too. Jenna knew exactly how to relate to her and I wish she could be acknowledged for her professionalism

I have been sitting here for 2 hours and no it is not relatively busy. Of the 2 hours I have been sitting, this pile of vomit has been made aware of by 3 other patients waiting and ignored by everyone professional in here. Walmart has higher standards for public safety and sanitation than this hospital.

The admission clerks😭 One wrapped in a blanket and the other leaning harder than a gangster in his chair. Checked in for chest pain and had a BO of 165/105 and was sent back to the waiting area. This is unethical!! Security guard rolled in what I assume he believed to be an addict whom he warned the nurse had an interesting odor on him but yet he parked him as soon as you enter the waiting area with no shirt or shoes next to kids!
