Shriners Children's Spokane

When we first got referred here I was very hesitant because of the mixed reviews. We have been going here for a year now and honestly, I couldn't be happier. Every person we've been in contact with has been kind and helpful. Dr. Bronson is an amazing doctor. He has been patient, kind, and very informative. Scheduling can sometimes be difficult, but in hindsight, they have so many patients. Given the nature of their work, it's natural to catch people on a "bad" day. But if given some grace and kindness, that changes everything. Forever grateful to Shriner and their staff for the help, care, and knowledge they have provided our family.

Shriners help children regardless of the parents ability to pay. If your child needs help they are willing and able. They also have partnered with the hospitals to do sports medicine injuries to lighten the load. I am proud to be a part of this wonderful philanthropic organization.

My medically complex child had major surgery here and it was a terrible experience with horrific complications. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone with a medically complex child and will NEVER take my child here again. So many issues with post op treatment management, supplies, trying to get the care manager nurse to take our concern seriously, inappropriate comment from staff, I had to personally reach out to 2 of our specialists at another hospital during our stay here to seek treatment for my child that was overlooked during our hospital stay at Shriners. It’s been over a year since the surgery and we’re still trying to manage the trauma from this experience

I was blown away at the experience we had. My 2 year old broke her arm, the process to get her checked out and scheduled for surgery was smooth and quick. They have such an atmosphere that my kiddo wasn't afraid. The fact they had someone come in to keep her calm and comfortable in the room, on top of the excellent and friendly staff you meet walking into the door, gave this mommas heart some peace. They went above and beyond in my opinion, but from what I've gathered, they are just that excellent every day. I highly recommend going here if you're going through a heath situation with your kiddo.

Going to a hospital for a child is always a tough experience but experience made this a good one. The place was clean and, from all appearances, up to date with all the technology required to treat children. Super friendly staff, who tried to connect with the kid and the rest of the family. Service done in a timely manner with doctors who took their time to deal with the child. My experience was excellent and, faced with another emergency, I would not hesitate to bring my child back here. On a different note, it is worth noting that parking is free while you are at the hospital.
