Shriners Children's Lexington

I had to visit Shriners with my daughter about 13 years ago for a broken arm. This was before they switched locations but everyone was really great and accommodating. We live almost 2 hours from Lexington and they provided transportation for us as well. Everyone that we dealt with was really amazing and the old location was so beautiful.

Went to the doctor with my daughter for my granddaughter. I had my 9 year old autistic son with me. They would not allow us to sit in the waiting room so he could look out the window. I was asked to leave. Said that they couldn’t allow “visitors” in the waiting room. Some children’s hospital they are. We went the 5th floor where nobody said anything to us for sitting in the waiting room. Very shameful Shriners. Do better!!

I was referred to Shriners of Lexington for my son due to a minor fracture. Though the wait was long for a toddler, everyone was extremely professional, helpful and to the point. There were lots of toys and things in the waiting room to “distract” the little ones which I thought was fantastic because I was worried about how my son would behave. My son struggled with having the boot put on, and the health care team was so helpful and a lady (I’m not sure of her name) gave my son a Teddy bear and a set of cars brand new in the box which I thought was so sweet! Dr. Kluck and his team are fantastic and I recommend them to anyone who needs to go there for their child!

I have 2 children that are patients here for orthopedic care. We have always been treated with care and respect. The staff are helpful and they treat my children like celebrities :)

Would not ever recommend this place to any one; if your doctor says you have to - be aware of your rights to get a second opinion. I have never had such a horrible experience in my entire life with any eye Doc professionals. If I could give -10 stars this place would be it.
