Three follow-up visits in and I've already got a whole saga to tell. I'm not entirely sure if I've just been lucky or if I'm simply the kind of guy who's impossible to forget (probably because I talk too much and lean hard into the cheesy jokes), but the staff recognizes me the moment I walk through the door. Which, honestly, feels pretty good. The timing of all this couldn't have been more fun. My wife had to leave for a business trip right after my first emergency surgery post-op appointment, because apparently life doesn't believe in easing you in gently. On both visits since, staff members have asked how she's doing. Unprompted. That's not something you expect, and it's not something you forget. Was in a really bad car accident that nearly took my life, and I woke up here. From the moment I arrived, the staff made sure I was as comfortable as possible. I had my first surgery ever here—for both my hip and shin, and I also received stitches in the facial area and mouth area. The medical team is doing an amazing job, and I truly feel cared for throughout my recovery. The best way I can describe my experience is that I genuinely feel like the people here care- they are not just doing their job, their showing compassion. The attitudes and attention to detail made a huge difference for me after such a traumatic experience. I trust these staff with my life. I have had 7 serious Surgeries here; that no one will touch me in Salisbury, Md ; they have kept me from being paralyzed from the waist down and the neck down. I have had 4 hip surgeries replacements and a Knee replacement. In addition a tumor off of my thyroid that caused the brittleness of bones. They had to insert a PEG tube or feeding tube for medication and liquid nutrition for 6 months when my vocal cords got accidentally nicked why preventing Paralysis from the neck down. Overall they saved me from being 100 percent ; in capacities.

Looking up to the medical field was important in my aspirations to be a Nurse. Once I realized that every hood has a Trauma Center it vhanged my perspective on life because all the folks around here that are murdered by gunshooutrageous and that all the bodies this place like these recieve and all the body parts i.e. organs that this place recieves and all the souls this place has saw is unimaginable...RIP.
