Sherman Village Health Care

I have been wanting to write this review for months now and hadn't yet because I have sooo much to say and don't know how to say it all. Please read this knowing that it does not begin to cover how grateful and touched I am by the care of this team. <3 My dad, Erik Sonne, has been experiencing terrifying medical complications for years now. Over a year ago, he had a domino effect that nearly was fatal. He started at Valley Village nursing home, where he was neglected, UTIs that went into sepsis, and even had a stroke without them noticing. After time at the VA ER, he was sent to St. Andrew's, where the people were a bit nicer, but the neglect was just as bad. He had bad UTIs and bed sores the size of cantaloupes that went into necrosis, nearly killing him again. We were depressed, devastat

My brother was at Sherman Village for two months recently. Every single person there was warm, kind and caring. It is really a very special place. They go above and beyond to make sure their residents are cared for.

My father too will be going to this facility today also coming from the WEST LA VA Medical center. I requested it since it is close to our home off of Laurel Canyon Bl. and Magnolia. He is only there for 2 weeks of P.T. But I will be going there today after they settle him in. Since he is bright and talks too much like a parrot, I will ask him everyday how he is being treated. I am putting 3 stars for now since I dont know anything yet and this site won't let me post until I do. So I will know more this afternoon when I get there.

A close family friend, who is an elderly woman, 86 years old went in for foot surgery due to diabetes, and came out with an infection in her leg and the vein they made created a huge infection terrible place. I’ve heard bad things about this place before, but I didn’t put two into together until now please take your relative elsewhere they do not care here at all!!!!

My father was admitted to this facility, coming from the WestLA VA Med center. He was given cleaning supplies for his genitals. A week into the stay, the Head Nurse is accusing him of thievery for his CLEANING SUPPLIES. My dad up and left that same day. He himself is 77 years old, he wouldn't steal from old people. Watch for elder abuse 'round this place
