For the first in my life I actually like my dentist. I came across them almost accidentally, they were the only dentist in my area who accepted my insurance. I have had very bad previous experiences and even left my last dentist after one visit because of horrible customer service. I went to Sherman Oaks Dental and never looked back. Hallie and Josee are the sweetest and greet me by name and a smile EVERY SINGLE TIME. I have never waited more than 10 minutes to be seen and are extremely accommodating of my busy late work schedule. I also currently got braces for a second time and this experience has been like night and day with compared to previous orthodontist. This place is horrible and the dentist and hygienist do lousy work. I first had an issue with my deep cleaning which was rushed and ended up having to get another deep cleaning 3 months later. Also had a crown done a little under 2 years ago and it popped off last week. The dentist Dr. Pharam was rude and very argumentative with me about my concern to this and wanting a refund. I paid about $1000 for this crown and they only refunded $300 but he was very apprehensive about and rude. Horrible place but the receptionist is kind

I couldn’t be more pleased with the service I was given at this oral surgeons office. Let me start with the front desk. Staff Josie was incredibly knowledgeable, super helpful, super friendly, and very professional. She helped navigate a lot of insurance issues that I was having with other offices and was very patient with me and made sense of a lot of nonsense. Other officers were giving me. Both my partner and I can’t say enough great things about this office! It is rare to find a medical office where everyone, including the office staff are amazing. It’s so comforting to know that it’s always going to be a stress free experience, both in person and over the phone. Having to deal with the financial side of things and insurance is always stressful, but the staff here is unbelievably patient and understanding. This office is a scam! They overbook appointments, leaving no room for personal attention to patients. My insurance contacted this office to confirm if they could perform a tooth extraction for my 5-year-old son. They assured us they could and scheduled the appointment—so I waited almost a month. On the day of the appointment, they did an X-ray and a quick teeth polishing, only for the doctor to inform me that my son needed to see a pediatric dentist instead. When I began expressing my frustration about their lack of transparency and the complete waste of my time, the doctor refused to listen or engage with me at all.
