SEM Haven

Everyone is so welcoming, and helpful. The nurse aides are always on stop of their jobs, and task. Walked in to amazing care provided to a very close elderly friend.

My grandma was in this facility for Memory Care. They were caught not waking her up to eat, they would let her sleep through every dinner that she was already asleep... They also weren't brushing her teeth, so she got very bad thrush and couldn't swallow. They wouldn't react quickly enough to treat it, nor would they let her family administer antibiotics we procured from her GP. She declined rapidly and passed away sooner than any of us expected....DO YOUR RESEARCH. WE THOUGHT THIS WAS ONE OF THE BEST. MEET ALL THE STAFF!!! Especially if your loved one is going to memory care, please be careful!

This is an excellent facility, the best I have ever seen. Caring staff and a lot of them. Residents are happy and involved with activities. I just moved my father here from a different facility and he couldn't be happier. If you are considering assisted living for a loved one, please check out Sem Haven. You will be very happy and impressed with this facility. UPDATE: My father passed in December after residing at SEM Haven for five years. We had not one single complaint in all of those five years, even through the covid lockdowns. ALL of the staff are so wonderful and caring. Their compassion, kind words, and stories on the day he passed showed that they care deeply for their residents. Now my mother will be moving there this week. I was there visiting a friend of the family. To start off the whole building smells. I highly doubt they regularly clean. Especially the bathrooms. I've been there numerous times and have over heard the stna staff talking very rude to the residents. For the cost of this facility it is definitely not worth it. The food is a joke. The medical care is unacceptable. When you enter the building the lady that works at the front desk is rude and unprofessional. To make things worse they are now starting to put ankle bracelets on the residents. Which is so inhumane! The nurse must put in a code to deactivate the ankle bracelet for the resident to leave or enter the building. If no code is entered and the resident tries to enter or leave the building the doors will forcibly shut on the resident. Qu

My father-in-law has been a resident/patient at SEM for 4 years. He was previously cared for at another facility with a great reputation but the actual care there was poor. So, he was transferred to SEM and my mother and I are overjoyed with gratitude for how he is flourishing under the SEM Staff care! Every aspect of his care is high quality, professional, medically skilled, compassionate, responsive to his unique needs and ours, as his family. Even through Covid-19 and the absence of in-person visits, he has thrived.
