Select Specialty Hospital - Harrisburg

This place was a huge joke!!! If you want yourself or your loved one to get better and go home don’t go here or send them here!!! This place bathed my mother at midnight numerous times when she wasn’t even soiled because they were “understaffed” which was because their census was low but as I told my mom and my dad I work in healthcare and I know this is unacceptable!!! The one gentleman from their OT was a complete jerk to my parents and to me!!! He was very unprofessional and needs restrained on beside manner!!! The nurses did not physically watch that medicine was taken at the time administered and almost double dosed!!! When my mom would make a little progress they would still threaten her to put a feeding tube in and such!!! This place hindered her recovery so badly!!! I was very disa

DO NOT SEND ANY FAMILY OR PATIENTS HERE. REAL FULL REVIEW. (6-14-25) In the end their statements were proven true - they would not let my father out of their facility unless he was actively dying. And even then, they refused to let him out fast enough. My father died today as the result of the most severe incompetence and fatal neglect by Select Specialty. I will circle back to this review with more information at the right time, but do not risk sending any family or patients to this facility - or likely any facility run by Select Medical. There is no scenario where the chance of recovery is worth the risk of death. Todd is one of the best nurses at this facility. He is quite knowledgeable. He listens to every complaint and gives thorough answers in layman terms. I would be remiss if I didn't give my thanks and credit to Lori & Tiffany. Both incredible nurses. Both understand that the people they're dealing with are in the hospital because they're sick.

Had family relative in here recently and felt that they were treated fairly . Kudo's to the medical staff for their caring ways .

This has to be the worst facility to be in. The drs seem to always in a hurry when they come into your room n only 3 nurses that I would say knew what they are doing. I was admitted here 2x and it was horrible both times. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO MY WORST ENEMY!
