Dr. McNear is fantastic. He listened to me when I was struggling with recurring Diverticulitis, he returns calls promptly, and really cares about his patients. I ultimately had surgery and no longer have to see him but would recommend him to anyone!

Everyone was wonderful. I will give Dr. McNear credit for finding what was wrong with my stomach. I was told that the pain in my stomach was IBS so for over 30 years I lived with a lot of pain. Dr. McNear was the only gastroenterologist that found what was wrong. Dr.McNear explained to me that I had h.pylori and treated me with several strong antibiotics. As a female, the only thing I had a problem with was the fact that my husband and I told him what would happen if he put me on that much antibiotics. Instead of listening to me, I ended up in the emergency room 2times. He knows his stuff but doesn't listen to women. That's the only reason why I gave 3 stars.

I was pleased with the doctors work, but I would avoid this place because of the use of Anesthesia Consultants of Augusta. Two days before my procedure they called me and told me that if I didn't sign a document provided by them to authorize additional payments of $700 above what my insurance would be paying, they would cancel my appointment. Feeling a bit over a barrel I signed it. Not only did they bill my insurance company for $1,600 in which they received, the statement to us showed they only billed the insurance $800. Now they are asking for even more money from me and in this case it's even more than the $700. The icing on the cake was, the technician botched the IV needle and had to make several attempts. I sensed his apprehension that he got it right on the second vein
