I recently took Dr. Abbie’s Core class, and I was truly humbled by how much I didn’t know about my own body, especially my core and pelvic floor. She has an incredible way of busting common myths about pelvic floor health, like the idea that “tight” always means “strong.” Dr. Abbie explained the importance of functional core engagement and taught us how our pelvic floor works as part of our whole core system, not just in isolation. Throughout the class, she provided clear, practical exercises while guiding us step by step on what we should actually be feeling in our bodies. I began care with Dr. Abbie a little over a year ago to assess and recover during postpartum as well as to prepare my body for a second pregnancy. The initial evaluation was thorough and the initial care plan she gave me was specific to my individual needs. After completion of the initial care plan, we re-evaluated to see what still needed work and to address any new issues. I have been seeing her regularly throughout my pregnancy to maintain progress and to assist in positive birth outcomes as well as to set myself up for an easier postpartum recovery. Dr. Abby is amazing and passionate about what she does. I have met with her on a personal and business/professional level and she knows A LOT about pelvic floor therapy…especially for prenatal and postnatal women. I would recommend her to anyone that plans on having a baby, is pregnant, just had a baby, or just someone that wants to strengthen their pelvic floor

I've had three appointments with Dr. Abbie so far and she is amazing! She strikes the perfect balance of being both professional and incredibly warm and friendly. At the first appointment, she was able to pinpoint what I was doing to cause pain in a specific area, and I was able to completely eliminate that pain after doing what she suggested! Since then, she continues to treat + assign exercises to help relax my tense pelvic floor. I love how she encourages me (and gives practical ways) to incorporate it into every day life - because she is also a mama, she gets how busy we can be and it is hard to take care of ourselves! But it is vital, and she is excellent at what she does. Take time for yourself, mama, and go see Dr. Abbie ASAP!
