Schnucks Urbana

Pretty solid grocery store. The prices are okay, probably similar to Meijer. If you've ever been to a jewel osco, this is very similar. The parking lot is big, but I rarely ever see this place full even in the weekends. They have a good selection of items, but the produce can be pricy.

The people are absolutely fantastic at the actual pharmacy. Love them. The automated answering service is absolutely infuriating. You need an option for an operator so you can actually get the answers you need. I’d give a negative 5 for this if I could.

Sadly, Schnucks is not the store it once was. This used to be a great place to get a good selection of fish, seafood, and meats. Similarly, the produce is no longer high quality.

I only went there to refill water jugs, so I didn't see much of the store. But the refill station was near the front of the store in the deli section. Most of these are in the back of stores. When checking out, they only had a code for a 1 gallon refill. So we had to do the transaction 10 times. But the store was clean, the staff helpful and I will be returning.

Every employee has been kind and helpful when I needed help. I personally think they have some of the best fried chicken around.
