Schlesinger Pain Center

I have had two lumbar fusions in the past few years. Before and after these surgeries Dr. Schlesinger treated me for significant to severe pain. His knowledge and background are impressive. His treatments were successful. His injections were painless and his knowledge and advice are priceless. When I finally needed surgery he advised me well. He has treated many of my friends including my own physicians and my own wife and adult children. I trust him with my life. He is the best.

I had back pain with referred hip pain that was steadily getting worse. I made an appointment, filled out a long questionnaire, and brought in a copy of my MRI. The staff and Dr. Schlesinger were friendly and professional. The advantage I learned is that his office is set up with a fluoroscopy unit meaning he can do epidurals in his office. The same day I saw him he did an epidural. Aside from the local injection, there was no pain. The next 10 days or so I still had symptoms especially the hip pain. Given I had had symptoms for 10 years, I wasn't expecting a miracle , but around 3 weeks all back and hip pain left me. Truly a miracle for me. Please do yourself a favor and find a different, better, more caring doctor. I saw Dr. Schlesinger as a new patient with severe, documented neck pain from a ruptured disc. Dr. Schlesinger was not very interested in actually helping and was not happy about a patient asking reasonable questions. Dr. Schlesinger and (one of) his staff members are unfriendly and unprofessional. I was hung up on by a staff member for saying "excuse me, can I finish" when I was interrupted asking a question as a patient. During my initial appointment, Dr. Schlesinger threatened to cancel our Dr./patient relationship because he did not like the reasonable questions that I asked. Again, find a better, more caring doctor that is actually interested in helping you.

From the office staff to Dr Schlesinger himself this was BEYOND a positive experience. I was in constant pain for 6 months. I felt I was in good hands the entire way through, and know I was kind of terrified at first but the Dr was so professional and competent it took those worries away. Here I am today feeling better than I have in a year. This IS the go to guy if you need pain management.

Dr. Schlesinger and his staff are AMAZING. They've helped me time and time again and the Doctor is straightforward, honest, and isn't trying to scam me or force me into anything. I recommend Schlesinger Pain Center as the go-to place if you have back pain!!!!!!
