Sawgrass Pediatric Dentistry

My six and eight year old leave the dentist saying they went to go back and look forward to it. My six year old said “I had fun can we go back”. It’s a colorful dentist office, very inviting, coloring books and the staff is nice. My son keeps having complications with his teeth and the dentist has been great through this process.

I waited over 3 months for my sons dental surgery just for the day before to have them tell me they removed him from the schedule without even notifying me or his father, claiming we never confirmed the appointment even though we had every at every appointment prior, and through pre registration. I even called leaving messages because I was concerned from not hearing from them. Now my son is left waiting another 5 months for an extraction. I will absolutely never take another one of my children to this circus they call a dental office.

Parents, Be Careful – Ask for Full Cost and Procedures Upfront I recently brought my son to Sawgrass Pediatric Dentistry,for first time in this clinic, me and my ‏other kids go to 501 "smiles at the carolina".after my wife called ahead and was told that a cleaning would cost $125. We expected maybe another $100–150 for X-rays, bringing us to about $250–275 total. But when we finished the appointment and went to check out, the total bill was $474 . That’s almost double what we expected. We were never told in advance what procedures would be done or what the full cost would be. After calling every single pediatric dentist in Myrtle Beach, Sawgrass took us in on an emergency visit. Our almost two year old busted one of his front teeth while we were on vacation and I was desperate to find someone to fix it or pull it. Once I got through to Sawgrass, they took us in immediately and were so kind and loving towards him and even me, who had a difficult time holding back tears seeing my baby going through all of this. The dentist was so comforting and she told me stories of her own motherly experiences with her children and tragic unexpected emergencies even while on vacation!
