Blythe is a fantastic practioner. Our homebirth with our fourth baby was sustained by her outstanding care and confidence as a midwife. Blythe is very responsive, knowledgeable and professional, which upholds the standard for a great midwifery practice but she exceeds the role with her compassion and steadiness as an individual. There are some attributes she exudes that can't be taught and that are simply a God-given gift that she blessed us with during our time together. I would trust her all over again given the chance and feel so thankful for our experience with her.

I’ve always wanted to do a Home birth, and Blyth “San Juan Island Midwifery” made that possible. Being a first time Mom not knowing what to expect, Mrs. Blyth was so delicate, educated and probably the best Midwife I could have ever ask for, my Birth was so amazing and will always be such a special memory. And a plus that all her stuff is homeopathic, She is a 10/10 and I would definitely have all my babies at home because of her now.

Blythe was such an incredible midwife. She was so compassionate and genuinely cared about my personal well being during my whole pregnancy. I ended up having a super stressful end of pregnancy and postpartum and she was not just a midwife, but a friend at the times that I needed one. (She even helped me learn how to knit! How cool is that?!) I cherish every appointment and all the time we had together. I think anyone would be honored to have her in their circle to support them during their pregnancy and labor. Also, she makes the most wonderful, tasty teas and has a fix for every ailment!

My experience with Blythe at San Juan Midwifery was fantastic. Her care and compassion for her patients really shines through as you approach the birth of your baby and beyond. She is very friendly and knowledgeable with a great bedside manner. I felt I had the best chance at making the most of my birth with her by my side. Her skills were apparent especially during my home birth and I felt supported and empowered in every way. There was mutual respect from the very beginning and that gave me confidence that I was working with a professional. I highly recommend Blythe and her team.

We hired Blythe for prenatal care and to facilitate a water birth at our home. She is really wonderful to work with. I felt listened to throughout my pregnancy and felt that she cared about getting to know me and my needs. She provides the same medical care you would receive with an OB, so there are no appointments off island. Blythe and her assistant were amazing during labor. She encouraged me to listen to my body and to feel my baby getting lower in between each push. It was incredible to welcome our boy in such a calm and natural environment. I had three hospital births, but this home birth was by far the best of all my birthing experiences. I highly recommend Blythe.
