My brother in law was diagnosed with a brain mass. My sister was a mess. She asked if I could come back with her as they only allow one person at a time in the room with the patient. Grace said “ no” and said she didn’t make the rules. She then brought in her charge nurse for no apparent reason. Luckily, the PA let me be with my sister and brother in law. I could understand if they were doing something for him, but I saw this so called nurse, twice in 6 hours. So I didn’t understand why she wouldn’t let me be there. The night nurse, who by the way, was a traveling nurse and had no problem with me being with them. Thank you Cat. I know ED departments are busy, but not even a glass of water until Cat came on. I know Samaritan will apologize and tell us to call the patient advocate but I thin

I really don't like coming here, mostly due to its reputation. But I had a possible foot break/fracture. That's it. How badly can they screw that up? I'll start with the positives: My wait time was very minimal (less than 2 hours) and the patient tech/xray tech were wonderful and accommodating. The RN I saw was also very friendly and knowledgeable. But that's about it. Luckily, it is not broken, just a really bad bone contusion. The FNP I saw said was referring me to Ortho and I should call in a few days. I called today and they said they don't see any "feet" issues. An Ortho group that is also affiliated with SMC (SMC Ortho) so you would think they would know that. Now I would need another referral, which means contacting my primary care doctor (another co-pay possibly) to see an ortho

On behalf of my entire family, I want to express my deepest gratitude for the extraordinary care my mother received following her recent fall on the ice. What began as a moment of pure fear for us was met with immediate, selfless care from your ER staff. Being "out-of-towners" adds a specific layer of vulnerability to a medical emergency, but from the moment we arrived, we felt we were in the best possible hands. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to: The Orthopedic Team & Doctors: Thank you for your expertise and for the steady, direct communication that gave us confidence during a very scary and uncertain time. The 5th Floor Nursing Staff: Your compassion was the glue that held us together. You didn't just treat a patient; you cared for our Mom, as a human being with dignity

Not impressed on how my grandmother, sister, and I were treated during our time here. My grandmother came in for back pain, and as she was explaining to the nurse ( Sarah) on what happened, the nurse was very rude, gave dirty looks, and proceeded to say that my grandma was lying. They ended up giving her a shot for pain and than gave her an Xray on her back We sat there for hours waiting on results. No one came in, no one checked on us, and I had to keep going to the front desk to check if there was any updates. I simply had enough, we walked out. Hospitals are supposed to be welcoming and care about those who come in to receive care, at Samaritan you don't receive that.

I just got out of Samaritan Medical Center today. I was there for 12 days on the fourth floor. I’ve had a lot of hospital experiences for all the surgeries that I’ve had to endure, but this hospital I’ve never had any place take care of me like these nurses and Nursing assistants Everybody from transport, the lady that answers the phone to take your order for your food housekeeping. Everybody was pleasant with me. Smile share a laugh, and even though I was in there for something serious, they made the time there and enjoyable besides my pain. I enjoyed meeting every single one of them every single one of them was helpful and if I had a question, you know about something that was going on with me medically, I could ask him and they would take their time to answer it. These people that have
