Samaritan Care Center and Villa

My wife was admitted here to get some physical therapy work done. She's been here now for a total of 8 days. Long enough for me to come up with the following conclusion. Its a GREAT facility! This is the smaller 200 bed unit at 806 E. Washington. In a world where nursing homes are known to not possibly care less about their patients and you read and hear about failures constantly, this place is a shining star in the sky amongst all the other fading stars. I felt like she was safe and WELL cared for at all times and you're listening to an EXTREMELY overprotective Italian, so to get the green light and praise for such an Institution is a rarity for me! Thay need equipment such as leg exersize mechine personal rehab equipment for strengthening wile in there room or in the dining room and ice packs there only 1 and if more than 1 need it its gotta get hunted down and waited on and also more healty voriotys of snacks and hydration thank you even to reach out for help from local churches love the church services and activities food was good ,I'm just a health nutt could have been more verity of fresh fruit veg. Realy love you all thank you so much my friend was baptized there and God bless you all come to church some time there's a service and meal each Sunday at freedom in truth church in akron abby is the masters wife and paster her self . I want to thank the staff here. They were very good to my dad when he was here. I know he was not easy to deal with. I want to thank you all so much for taking such good care of him.😊 the workers were very nice and friendly. Always clean. I was very well pleased with this place.

This facility has the most caring employees. They go above and beyond for their families and patients. Everyone always has a smile on their face. Tara and Amy do a fantastic job with their clinical staff. They’re very knowledgeable and treat everyone like family. As a third party service we have seen this facility take GREAT care of their patients as well as the patients we share. You cannot go wrong choosing this facility to place your loved one. The care they will receive will exceed your expectations!!

If I could rate this place below hell and give them a zero I would. My grandmother was sent here by Remembrance Hospice for a "Respite Care" for my parents to receive a break because my parents were her 24hr care givers. My grandmother went to the facility by EMS on a Tuesday evening, and within 6 days she declined very quickly. The first day we found her, she was in a soaking wet gown, and her brief was covered in urine and fesses that had dried on the white bed paid. Brown circles all the way around. The smell of urine in the room and fesses lingering with her door shut. They claimed the aide checked, and turned her x2hrs, which was not the case here. Then they proceeded to bring in a food tray and when asked why she was getting a regular food tray for someone who is immobile and for som
