I am writing to formally express my deep concern regarding the care my sister received during her recent stay at your hospital. She waited over 24 hours before being seen by a doctor, which is completely unacceptable given the level of pain and distress she was experiencing. Throughout her stay, her pain management was inadequate and inconsistent. Repeatedly, when she pressed the call button for assistance, she was ignored or left waiting for extended periods of time. No patient should feel dismissed or unheard while in a hospital setting. It was incredibly disheartening to see such a lack of attentiveness and urgency from much of the staff responsible for her care. The only time she received attentive, compassionate, and appropriate care was during the overnight shifts from nurses Felix a
Emergency room is horrible . The staff is frustrated and over worked . They were annoyed with my mom because they had to keep changing her . It was not very clean down there either . It did improve once admitted and move to O’Brien 4 . The resident nurse Thomas was excellent- the only reason for the one star was him . I stayed with my mom all day for the 3 days and would not recommend this hospital . Food was terrible , especially the cold dinner that was served in a styrofoam container. We are home now and glad to have her out of there - oh and only 1 elevator was working , staff told me one has been broken for 4 years and the other 2 so I had to use the stairs . No parking either in the front lot so I had to use the ramp garage which makes you go up then down , up and around . Just not s
I went in with awful pain, but they wouldn't help me. One nurse even had the nerve to say that they didn't HAVE any pain medication!! They know my ongoing ailment and have helped me twice before. In six years, I only went twice because I don't want to go unless it's REALLY bad. A few days ago, I needed their help, but they were so rude and dismissive I couldn't believe it!! I had to leave, without signing out because of the way they were treating me. I'll NEVER go back there again if I can help it!! Thank goodness that Waterbury hospital may be coming back to life, and just in time too!! I'm 65 and don't want to be treated like an idiot, or some drug seeker. That's how they made me feel!! It's really sad to see how far St. Mary's hospital has fallen.
Trinity Health St. Mary's This past time in Er and Hospital was terrifying. My Dad went in for a stent blocked in his leg. 30 hours later they did the procedure ,then landed in icu. Some nurses were very caring, and most let you suffer while the monitor was going off. I went 4 times to the counter , my dad is struggling breathing, we will be in , nothing they kept walking by to the coffee room. My dad ended up pulling the N.G tube out of his nose. Still no nurses. I went back to the counter could this be a problem. She came in rolled hose up shut pump off and walked out of room. My dad also ended up with his behind all cut open sores laying in his own pee and crap. Many times out in hall looking for a aid or nurse to get cleaned and cover up the sores. My dad's hemoglobin was 7.4 I to
I was just released from this hospital yesterday afternoon. I had a pleasant experience in the ER where the doctor new best to not send me home. Then I was sent to the 4th floor on Tues and the staff was amazing. Each and every single one of them to the doctor, nurses, nurse case managers, phlebotomists, aids and cleaning services/support. Even the dietary staff was amazing. I hope I didn't miss anyone! I wish I knew every one's name so I could personally thank each and everyone of u. You know who you are based on this review once again that was a very stressful time in my life and all of u made it bearable!!!!
