I delivered my son at this hospital on September 15th. Despite explicitly stating multiple times that we did not consent to the Hepatitis B vaccine, a nurse administered it to my new born son without authorization. With in minutes after giving birth, a nurse by the name of Mary Ann approached my bedside to apologize for “accidentally” giving my son the Hep B vaccine. My husband and I put significant time and consideration into making this decision, and to have our wishes disregarded so casually is unacceptable!! The guilt, sadness, anger, and frustration I experienced in what should have been one of the happiest moments of my life is something no mother should ever be subjected to!! My sister Sharon was in your hospital. And I just want to say thank you to everybody who took care of her. You are all amazing and the care and the patience that you have is unbelievable. You made my journey. With her a little bit easier and at the end, you all were there to take care of us. We were so heartbroken. I just want to say thank you to the whole staff on the Icu. I've been a patient at St. Joe's both in ER and for surgeries multiple times. I have always received excellent care from 99% of the staff. The reason I didn't give 5 stars is due to the anesthesiologists not taking me seriously when I tell them I don't process certain pain medications and anesthetics the way most people do. I'm a retired RN who has been board certified in pain management. I've also worked in preop and recovery. I've studied how pain medications are processed in the liver and which enzymes are involved. Whenever I tell both the Anesthesiologist and the Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) that I will need either a block to the surgical sire at the end of the surgery, or that I will need a little more pain med before going to the Recovery room, they say they will "take good care of me"

Today I was in the ER for an emergency. Melissa and Amanda were my nurses and they were great! After discharge I went to the cafeteria. When I went to pay I couldn't find my wallet with my money and credit cards. I panicked! The cashier, Arianna, was so sweet and helpful. She made sure I was taken care of and helped me get back to the ER to resolve my problem. My wallet had been secured by my friend. Everyone I came in contact with was incredible.

This has been the absolute worst experience we’ve ever had in a hospital. My sick elderly husband has been laying in the hallway since last evening. He was brought in by ambulance and was barely seen by his dr. Or nurses. I sat on a hard chair for hours until I finally had to come home to try to get sleep. He was admitted just hours after we arrived yet no bed or room. I tried repeatedly to call the er nurses to check on him and no one would call me back and the person on the phone refused to put me through to a nurse since he is “an adult”. He hasn’t been treated with dignity as well as at least a dozen other patients laying in hallways. The dr even examined his entire body while in the hallway. It’s unbelievable. Never bringing him back here. It’s terrible.
