Saint Clare’s Denville Hospital

Zero sense of urgency. Patients wait over 40 minutes to get attended too. Rooms are disgusting and not sanitary. Nurses and Drs tell you what they think you wanna hear. Floors are under staffed. When you ask for proof or records they start scrambling. Pictures do not match the words. My mother was restrained at 8:20pm and given no medication until 4am to calm down. I was more than thrilled when I walked in at 11am to find her hanging off the bed and soaked in urine. Unless you can sit all day and advocate for your loved one do not go here.

I recently went to St.Clare’s Hospital in Denville for Same Day Surgery. I had such a great experience from the moment I walked in with a friendly greeting at the front desk to Admittance. The staff was so pleasant and the nurses were constantly checking in on how I was feeling up to my surgery. The facility was clean. Specifically Jodie and Rocio the Anesthesiologist and her nurse were so happy, calming, and great in a nervous situation. They talked to me from an understanding point of view and were able to ease my nerves and make me feel like I truly was going to be taken care of and that they really cared about me. I recently had a colonoscopy at Saint Clare's Hospital in Denville. My experience with the staff and the doctor was excellent. Millie, the nurse who took all of my information and prepared me for surgery, was extremely accommodating and the care that I received from everyone in the operating room and from Dr. Heit was exceptional. I would like to name all of them, but I remember Millie and Dee and the anesthesiologist, Danielle in particular. They all are to be commended. Thank you all for your kind attention.

My wife had a blood infusion and was so compassionately taken care of by Sarah and Nancy in the infusion dept. It was a long morning but these two nurses settled her in comfortably and consistently checked to see if she, or I needed anything…drinks, snacks, a pillow, a blanket. She had an tv to watch in a great reclining chair. And, we were so impressed that Nancy was able to find a vein for the infusion quickly, which is not easy on my wife’s arms. We are so appreciative of all that these nurses did for my wife. (And me)

After spending a full week at this hospital, I can confidently say the care and overall experience were exceptional. After coming from a very difficult experience at another hospital, the difference here was night and day. From the moment I arrived, I felt heard, respected, and genuinely cared for. Every nurse, doctor, and staff member treated me with compassion, professionalism, and patience. They took the time to explain things, check in often, and make sure I was comfortable—not just physically, but emotionally as well. The level of teamwork and attention to detail was outstanding. I never once felt like “just another patient.” Instead, I felt supported every step of the way, and that made all the difference in my recovery.
