Sage Dental of Fort Myers

I am I retired dental hygienist. Staff at front desk was cold and not friendly upon checking in. The girl handed me the I pad to answer questions without saying a thing. Assistant who took me to the room was very cold. I had just filled out the form as to what I’d prefer to be called (Jeannie) and she called me back as Jean! When I told her my name was Heannie she coldly said oh sorry and kept walking… i told her I didn’t want anterior x rays and I was met with silence. She stood at the door and made no attempt to be friendly. As a former hygienist I am extra critical when visiting offices but I expect manners and friendly people at least. I had mixed feelings about my first visit. I made this appointment over six months ago and had it written down and saved in my calendar as 1:00 PM. The reminder I received later said 2:00 PM, and I believe the time was changed without notification. When I asked the receptionist about it, she dismissed my concern and said a 1:00 PM appointment was impossible because they go to lunch from 1–2. While waiting, I overheard her mention to another patient that they use a call center, which may explain the change. Even after arriving on time, I wasn’t called back until about 20 minutes after my scheduled appointment, which added to the frustration. Great place! Everybody was very helpful, and friendly. I haven’t been to the dentist in roughly 10 years so I was very nervous due to condition of my teeth. Everyone who helped me, genuinely seemed like they wanted to help and didn’t make me feel bad. Would 10/10 recommend!

This was my first time here, and I have to tell you.I was met with a very professional staff.A very professional dentist who gave options and the price was very reasonable.Highly recommend highly. They have an entire staff from The person checking you in to a dental hygienist and a dental surgeon.So it is a one stop shop. From arrival time to getting the information, I needed to make a decision ten minutes.

I was very happy with the services I had done at this location. However a year after receiving services I received an outstanding balance bill. After talking to customer service I was told that it was an oversight and to ignore the bill. A month later I received a bill saying that it was going to collections. Again I talked to customer service and they claimed that my insurance didn't cover some services and that I owed double the original year old bill. It is either a very sloppy or fraudulent way to conduct business. Update: The billing department is contracted out. The representative from Sage Dental of Fort Myers was extremely helpfulful in navigating the billing issue. The outcome was still unsatisfactory but she made the experience more pleasant.
