Customer Reviews
First and last time using the pharmacy. I came to pick up my prescription, after it was called in the previous morning, and was told to come back later because they didn't have my prescription in stock. An hour later, I got a call from Safeway that my prescription was ready for pickup. When I went to go pick it up, I was told they were still waiting on the shipment and to come back later. This is incredibly frustrating. Having to come back three times despite being notified it was ready is disappointing and a huge waste of time that I dont have. Unfortunately, other reviews of unreliable notifications of order status are my experience as well. Will not go back. The techs are nice but are limited in what they can do.
Every experience I've had here has been extremely bad, so much so that I end up procrastinating picking up my (vital) medication until the last possible minute. There is inexplicably a line no matter what time or day I arrive, and employees act as if the concept of their job was just introduced to them that day. There is never any sense of urgency, with employees chatting casually with each other while there are clearly people waiting to be helped. Today I was asked for my birthday 4 separate times because the person "helping" was simply not listening to anything I was saying. Then she required an additional person's assistance because she had been looking for my medications under the wrong name. This time I was the only one at the counter, yet somehow the simple transaction took up 15 min
Avoid this pharmacy at all costs. Of the several times I've used them, I've never had a smooth interaction. I've been handed the wrong medication, which luckily was caught my a staff who questioned something before I left. I've arrived after being texted my medication was ready only to be told to come back later 3x until it was actually ready. I was on two separate medications at one point and received a text (a week and a half after it was supposed to be ready) that the more urgent one of the two was ready. When I arrived I was handed the less urgent one. I've also had to got 2-3 weeks without medication I need because they couldn't fill it on time despite multiple calls and online requests. Do right by yourself and go anywhere else.
My prescription was ordered on a Monday. I showed up on Friday to get it because that’s the only time I had during the week. More than enough time to fill it. I showed up and they told me they didn’t fill it yet because they needed to check which blood sugar monitor was covered my insurance. They checked while I was standing there waiting. It took them literally one minute to check. She tells me to come back in 15 minutes. I then go wait in my car for 10 minutes for them to call me and tell me they can’t fill it at all because my doctor didn’t give them an amount for them to fill the lancelets. All of this could have been avoided if they even looked at my prescription prior to 4 days after it was sent over. Of course this is all on a Friday so my doctors office isn’t open on a weekend to g
I’ve been dealing with ongoing issues at Safeway Pharmacy, and my most recent experience has left me incredibly frustrated. I had a prescription for Clomid, a fertility medication, called in four days in advance. When I called to check if it was ready, I was told it hadn’t been filled yet and that they would start processing it. Why wait for me to call to even begin filling it? This has become a pattern—every time I go, I have to chase them down to get my prescriptions filled. I returned to pick up my Clomid later that day, only to be told hours after the "30 minutes" I was promised that they were out of stock. I was told it would arrive the next morning at 10 a.m. Why tell me it would be ready in 30 minutes, only to say they didn’t have it? The lack of communication and organization is ex
