Safeway Pharmacy

I have been going to Safeway Pharmacy since before it was Safeway. (Carrs, Eagle) Every interaction has been informative, helpful, and kind. I have always felt well-served and cared for.

I had a question regarding an allergic reaction to a medication. The pharmacist and the lady assisting were incredible! Empathetic, responsive and so very kind to me. I was very relieved and also quite impressed with their attention and level of care. Just lovely people.

The pharmacists “josh and Maggie” and marshal and the techs, have always made sure that my family gets the meds we need and even when it’s out of their control they make sure to tell use what our options are and work with us. They are constantly dealing with rude people yelling at them and yet I always see smiles. So maybe we should be more appreciative that we have a good pharmacy here still putting up with all the rude people.

The staff is usually friendly but clueless. They have screwed up my scripts 3 times now. Once, they gave me double the prescribed dose. The next time, they filled a script for once a week instead of twice a week as it was transferred. I even called the transferring pharmacy and they had a record of the date, time, and person they spoke with when providing the twice a week script. Safeway? No idea who spoke to who. Then, my doctor sent them a new script to clarify the dosing aaannndddd they claimed they never got it. Don’t know if Ulmers is any better but we will be researching them as an alternate.

I have gone here throughout the 15 plus years I have lived in Homer and I have now decided to transfer from there due to exceptionally poor customer service. This has been over a long period of time and many instances and the last interaction was just over the top unprofessional and rude. They also do not seem to be able to find answers to questions and then I have also had wrong refills of prescriptions.
