Rutland Regional Medical Center

I received care at RRMC in the ED for a work related injury. I was in contact with the business office as soon as I received a bill since this is a workman’s compensation matter . I remained in contact with the business office explaining that the adjuster had not reached out to me nor did the adjuster complete a form 27. I continued to keep RRMC apprised of the issues I was having with the adjuster and copied RRMC on email with the adjuster and workman’s compensation. Today I receive a call from a creditor stating that even though my claim has not been denied they sent my bill into collections . Pretty disappointing since I work locally FOR the Rutland community as well , it’s unfortunate that they ejected to go this route instead of seeking clarification. I definitely will no longer

My dad got brought in at 11am it's now 1 15pm. Still has not been seen by anyone except registration. Called to get him some water cause his mouths dry no one has brought any. Asked a nurse for a cup of water said no I'm sorry I dont know if he can have it it's policy. He wouldn't need a damn drink if this damn place would have less people just walking around and more people working with patients. This hospital is a joke. They have my dad in a hallway bed while they have a whole other side with empty rooms. A nurses words it's really busy today the doctor will be around.

Don't bother going to patient relations there controlled by the hospital and paid by the hospital they'll listen and the sweep it under the rugg the vt orthopedic side is great !! Went there to get a simple MRI iv had MRIs before never had to get naked asked why I had more excuses thron at me then can imagine from its for my safety to possible weapons it our new policy went to another hospital asked do I need to get naked the tech and I quote why would we need that I asked is there a danger to me ws told no asked if the brass zipper is a problem was told no all they needed to do was take my shoes off and everything in my pockets told them no problem .If I was going in for an operation no problem this is degrading policy and it infringes on my basic human rights it's a controlli

I have a heart condition and on more than one occasion I’ve been sent by other doctors to the Rutland ER only to be treated terribly and negligently. One time the doctor walked in and said “So how much cocaine have you done?” None. I am a competitive athlete with no history whatsoever of substance abuse. Second time I had been passing out repeatedly. ER doctor refused to scan my loop recorder for events. He acted like I didn’t even have a heart monitor implant because he couldn’t see a scar. Then he went on and on about inverted t waves which for years had been a constant finding in me. When I said my t waves have always been inverted he was condescending told me to only answer him with yes or no and asked me how many years of medical school I had. He did absolutely nothing for treatment

From start to end, my care was great. The ER NP Shemika saved my life and I couldn’t be more grateful that she ordered everything I needed to get clear results. Thank you to everyone that cared for me and helped me get back to normal. Nursing was phenomenal.
