Rutland Nursing Home

This place needs to be closed for good. The lack of care from the nurses and doctors are insane. If your heart is not in it, then find another profession. There’s money to be made elsewhere. The 9th floor staff especially, are a bunch of incompetent people. They lack all skills that are required to be nurses and doctors. If you have family that you love whole heartedly, I would advise to avoid this place by all means. Also, the place is a mess. It needs a lot of upgrades but it seems like the owners are only interested in pocketing money. The state needs to do better when evaluating this place.

This place deserves to be shut down. This is the worst place ever. The staff is disgusting. They don’t take care of the patients at all. They do the bare minimum for the residents. The whole place has rats, mice and roaches everywhere. The ceilings have mold and look like they are ready to fall. The department of health does absolutely nothing for these residents. The environment is unsafe for everyone

Place needs update certain floor have no drinking water for paiten like me food always cold never warm

This facility is absolutely horrible. They steal from the patients and neglect them. They stole My mother’s jewelry when she passed away and of course none of the staff saw her wearing the most expensive bracelet. They stole family heirlooms that was supposed to be passed down to my daughters. They stole her phone and charger. We got her a phone because no one ever answered the hospital phone when we wanted to check on her. The social workers are useless along with their supervisor. The staff stole her purse with her personal belongings ID etc. When she passed away they gave us a box of dirty clothes. It took them over 6 months to so call investigate and resolve the problem. The staff is rude and lack compassion and respect. Please do no leave your loved one here.

There is more to this place than just nightmares. I have just filed a complaint with the health department overseeing nursing homes in NY. This nursing home is merely a facility to store the sick and elderly. Nursing and rehabilitation at this facility are an oxymoron. Management does not return your calls for complaints. They only offered you empty promises of improved care the one time they did. I'm actively looking for another facility that truly cares. At first in 2021, my mother was not even bathed regularly when she lived on the fifth floor on the south side. She smelled like a homeless person when I visited her. Though she has improved since they moved her to the north side after I complained, she is no longer turned every two hours. Due to this, she developed a wide lesion on her
