Rutherford County Health Department

Rude and useless staff. I've been waiting 3 months to see a neurologist. They lied and said it was my fault, then denied lying (even though I have it recorded). My food benefits are about to get cut-off because of their useless and unprofessional behavior. Zero work ethic and just play the blame game instead of doing the jobs they are paid - with our tax dollars - to do.

Do not come here!!! They dont listen to there patients at all. And there is no communication between the front and the back. And the doctor was very quick to try to push pain medication on my husband when thats not what he wants all we wanted was a doctor note stating that he needs lighter work. Everyone could very much clearly see the issue with his arm. He doesnt have any insurance and we are trying to keep him from losing his job. But doctors are just money hungry and dont care about the patients anymore and its incredibly sadden.

Whoever called me today to update WIC benefits was rude and very unprofessional! Before judging someone know their story! Seems as if she was having a bad day and needed someone to take it out on and chose a customer. If you don’t like your job , why are you there?

Public service is a tough role to play by itself... but public service as the health department is a whole other animal. I've only had to come here a handful of times over the years to pick up copies of birth or death certificates and I have always had a great experience. Kind and helpful.

They always get my information messed up. I don't feel safe with this place being in charge of my health. There was literally no record of me being here last year but I still come back. I need a new health department.
