Roper St. Francis Express Care

It was a Saturday morning and the Urgent Care was busy, but not crazy. Unfortunately, most of the staff was sick, but still showed up to help care of people. Everyone there was kind and compassionate. I didn’t get the nurses name that took all of my vitals and went through my health history, however, she was one of the most compassionate, caring, understanding and empathic people I have ever met. She really blew me away! The practitioner came in next, and she too listened to everything I said, asked many questions and was extremely professional and caring. She didn’t rush through the appointment but she didn’t waste any time either. She balanced the visit so well! I was a walk in on Thursday around 2:45 pm. Office staff was great and medical assistant who ask the questions and all that for the doctor was so very nice. The Nurse Practioner was very busy. She was also nice and answered my questions. She gave medicine to hopefully take care of my UTI. I only was there about 1 hour and 15 mins. Which is not bad when your a walk in.

Went to Roper st Francis for a foot injury, I checked in and found out there was 11 patients before me. The great thing was I waited less than an hour to be seen. X-ray Ed my foot , gave me information and I was on my way. This is I think the fourth time I have been to this express care on main street Summerville sc and they are always efficient, polite and take care of you as quickly as possible. I love this office. Great job!!

I had a scheduled appointment to be seen at this location and wasn’t brought back right away or close to my scheduled time. The physician assistant, Karen was nice but her staff were extremely slow to give me my steroid shot. I waited over an hour just for them to give me my shot. I had to go to the nurses station and tell the PA I saw that no one ever came into my exam room to give me the shot. The PA apologized and told the MA to give me the shot again. Once the MA came in she had an attitude and injected my shot in the wrong area. It was very painful for over a week. I’ve never experienced that pain before from any shot. I took my daughter to Roper St. Francis Express Care in Summerville on Main St. with flu-like symptoms. I had already tested her at home for the flu and it was negative. But they did a rapid strep test as well that was negative. They said they would send it for culture. I called everyday Wednesday through Friday and they said it still wasn't back, even though the PA we saw said it usually comes back in a day Come Friday she still wasn't feeling well, so I took her to MUSC Children's After Hours. They did a flu test and another rapid strep test. She was positive for both. Hoping she can finally get to feeling better now. My assumption is at Roper they either lost or didn't send the culture but instead of telling me that they gave me the runaround and kept telling me it's not back yet. I w
