Went here tonight and was very impressed with the staff and facility. No wait to get in er, the receptionist was so kind and empathetic. The room was clean, had better accommodations than Manchester Memorial (no broken furniture, private toilet, tv) and staff were super attentive, courteous, and quick. The staff clearly checked my records and were up to date when they came to see me, which was so nice since I didn't have to explain so much. My nurse, Christine Duncan was very compassionate and a breath of fresh air. Overall, walking out my wife and I felt so relieved by our experience here after visiting Manchester er last week that we both cried. This place should be your preferred choice in the area 100%.
I've been going to cardiac rehab for over 3 years since I experienced my heart attack. It was necessary for me to do 36 mandatory sessions. I decided to continue with the rehab on my own & have not regretted it one bit. The staff is wonderful. They're professional, caring, easy to talk to, always willing to help and show concern when things aren't what they should be and will contact my Cardiologist with their concerns. I plan to continue with this program for as long as possible. You've got a great program as I'm sure others in rehab will attest. Don't let this department get away.
My DOCTOR whom I’m supposed to see tomorrow morning told me to go straight here this morning for a problem (she clearly thought it was very serious or it wouldve waited for my appointment) I get here and was treated so poorly. I am severely anemic (hemoglobin of 7.6) with a separate complication/concern aka why I was sent here by my doctor. I was told immediately not to drink or eat anything & also put on all types of heart & blood pressure monitors because my blood pressure through the roof and a heart rate of 120-130 while uncontrollably shaking From there I had to give blood again twice (even though I had a full blood drawn done at quest & brought the results with me) The nurse left the vein catheter in after the first 3 viles because said I need an IV and probably a transfusion. A new
Taking my son to doctors, urgent cares, hospitals etc is usually highly stressful. The moment he sees a glove or medical equipment he loses his mind. I suspected he had another ear infection (3rd one in 5 months). He needs tubes. Today I had my dad come along with me to take him to Vernon Rockville hospital, anticipating a meltdown, biting, tears, back bending and screaming while needing to be restrained. Instead of any of that (besides still needing to br restrained) my son was understood and given the absolute best care full of tender patience and understanding. From the receptionist who put his medical bracelet on his ankle instead of his wrist, to the nurse who first opted in to check his oxygen on his toe instead of forcing his finger while playing Blues Clues on her phone, to the
To add to my last review, my boyfriend came here twice in June after an injury for severe knee pain, knee buckling and a swollen knee. They sent him home both times. First time said RICE method and it should go away in a week or two.. Second time they said to make an appointment with a specialist (as if this is a walk in & not a hospital??) Come to find out, he had a torn meniscus and fully torn ACL which was described as hanging on by a thread THIS ENTIRE TIME!! We didn’t get into a specialist until August, and he finally got surgery September 25th- over 3 months later. But again, if you don’t seem severely ill or it’s a life or death situation- in their eyes it’s not important and your forced to wait it out for a “specialist” even though that is legitimately what a hospital is for.
