I was a patient of Dr Jenkins for many years. I changed jobs and had to wait a month to start my new job for my insurance to kick in. I called in and cancelled my appointment as I did not have current insurance. His staff took it upon themselves to reschedule me without me asking to reschedule. I called in and cancelled that appointment. They again rescheduled me after I cancelled. I had to cancel the appointment again! The next thing I know I receive a letter from the office stating that they were cancelling me as a patient! Tell me that isn’t messed up!!

Agree with the other postings. The office assigned my case to Dr. Jenkins due to my Dr in the same practice leaving. He basically came in for 5 minutes, felt my hands and re-prescribed my medication. I wanted to start over as the previous plan was not working for me. I called to make another appt and the office indicated I could not switch physicians. I gave the office feedback that I did not feel I received the care I needed yet they said if you start seeing a Dr. in the practice you are basically stuck with them. Because of that, I would recommend going to another practice as this one is a bit of a chop shop moving pt's in and out.

Would give 0 stars if I could. I had exactly the same experience as the other reviewers here. Dr. Jenkins spent approximately 5 minutes in the room with me, where he spoke to his PA (not me) about me, and then opined that because I reported seeing a psychiatrist that likely the issues I am experiencing are a result of things “not going well” in my personal life (not sure how, even if that were true, my bloodwork would warrant a followup with a rheumatologist, but there you go). Left in tears. A truly horrible experience.

My wife went to him for nearly a year. She had been suffering from debilitating hand, wrist, elbow, and hip pain for years, and he is who our GP sent us to. He did some lab work, and then told her she had fibromyalgia. We asked if we could see someone else at their practice for a second opinion. This office, with 20 Rheumatologists, refuses to let anyone transfer, or do second opinions. He tried her on two medicines for FM, and then, since he apparently believes that fibromyalgia is a mental illness, he suggested that she check herself into a mental hospital, and fired her as a patient. After 4 months of seeing an actual, qualified Rheumatologist at UTSW, my wife’s joint pain is 98% gone. She’s stiff and achey for about five minutes in the morning. Horrible office staff and policies - incredibly rude. I had an appointment with Dr. Jenkins scheduled. The day before the appointment, I was out of pocket and because I didn't confirm the appointment the day before they automatically cancelled my appointment. Huge waste of my time. I was told this was Dr. Jenkins' policy and not that of his group.
