Money hungry, cost double( almost $300 ) for consultation compared to most surgeons, was in the room for maybe 15 seconds before he said I had a hernia. Didn’t do anything except stick his fingers in my legs and ask to cough. Didn’t look at any other spots I mentioned pain wouldn’t answer any questions and sent me to schedule surgery, I went to a well known and well reputable urologist Dr. John Boon he checked me out very thoroughly and couldn’t find a any sign of a hernia anywhere( the 3rd doctor who couldn’t find anything) even did a scan of my lower section and noticed nothing. And for everything Dr.Boon did it still only cost me $20 more then Robert Shirley, and I’m a fat guy so I can’t fat shame anyone but I’ve never seen a doctor or surgeon that couldn’t care less about his own healt

Consulted Shirley for my 85 year old relative suffering of hernia on a self-pay basis. He ill advised open surgery. We are glad we took second opinion and consulted another surgeon who strictly advised against open surgery due to age and recommended laparoscopic procedure. Just because we were self-pay, Shirley's cost for open surgery was four times the national average cost for laparoscopic procedure code 49650. I have a serious doubt if Shirley can even perform laparoscopy otherwise why would he even suggest open surgery for an 85 year old? He is clearly driven by greed with no regards to compassion or care. Sorry, we will not be doing "Business" with him. Stay away!

Dr Shirley took the time to explain my upcoming surgery and put my mind at ease. He is caring and professional. Shout out to the entire staff, everyone was so helpful and very nice. My surgery went very well with a smooth recovery. Dr Shirley is an excellent surgeon.
