I was diagnosed with Rosacea about 5 years ago by a dermatologist. Unfortunately, the treatment prescribed—Rhofade—was not covered by my insurance at the time, and I simply couldn’t afford it. What was even more frustrating was that no alternative options were offered, and the doctor didn’t seem to care about my concerns. Hoping for a better experience, I visited a second dermatologist shortly after, but that visit was even more disappointing. The doctor had no bedside manner, didn’t answer any of my questions, and barely spent 5 minutes with me. Feeling frustrated and unheard after 2 discouraging experiences, I gave up. I accepted the fact that I would have to live with flare-ups and the self-consciousness that came with them. Recently, my Rosacea flared up so badly that I had no choice
