This place is absolutely disgusting, my Dad is there on hospice with a few weeks left and the amount of stuff I have proof of thank God is absolutely horrid and how they treat people and my Dad… the call light rings and rings for over 20 minutes the nurses at the desk eating away while they can hear the call light going off, my Dad has to climb out of bed to find someone for help, his meds are due every 2 hours it’s been sooo many hours and nothing, they said they are understaffed with 2 aids to 60 patients! The aids are ignorant absolutely ignorant! I am sooooooo happy I have proof of all the stuff I witnessed ;) they don’t even deserve one star don’t ever take your family there they can care less I can go on and on and say so much more…me and my family are livid…. The amount of people
Giving this facility 1 star is actually generous. My father was here for 1 week. The food was terrible, most nurses and aids were so rude to the patients and my mother when she was visiting. They flat out lie or make up answers to questions you have. As someone in healthcare, I at least had the background to catch their errors. You could ring the bell for assistance and you would be lucky if someone came to check on you in less than 20 minutes. Meanwhile 2 or 3 staff talking and standing around at the nurses' station. As someone with previous experience as a pharmacist in long term care I am aware of the challenges LTC facilities face with staffing, but do not trust Riverstreet Manor with your loved one as I can't imagine a worse experience. Finally, if someone you love needs to go into
This place is horrible!! I was sent here for rehab before my second surgery because I shattered my leg just above the ankle and broke my shoulder. I'm a pretty healthy 60 year old but am unable to go to the bathroom by myself because of my injuries and they made me wait for ridiculous amounts of time after pressing the call button to come help me. One time I set a timer on my phone and it took them 38 minutes to answer, I had soiled myself by then and had to have the bed and my gown changed. They tried to get me to wear "briefs" aka adult diapers when all I need is a commode or bedpan. When I commented on the ridiculous amounts of time and that when I was a nurse's aide in the 90s I NEVER let anybody wait that long the nurse told me that "times are different now"! They then left the light
This home is just as vile as almost any other LTC. It is completely unsanitary and those flies all over. A few of the staff were polite enough but the overall atmosphere was miserable. Luckily my patient is only here for a short time. I wasn't even there for an hour, and I already witnessed multiple obvious violations. It was a holiday so the administration was out of the office. Miserable does not fully describe the charge nurse who I spoke to briefly. At least I'm presuming she is a charge nurse since she did not properly identify herself. As with some other nurses in the field, she immediately offered a condescending in hostile impression. I adjust myself as being a nursing aide and very politely inquired about an update about my patient. Understandably, she informed me that I'm not on
When I was at the Manor for an entire MONTH with a broken hip, I had never had to STAY at a nursing home previously. I am a CNA now for the past 44 years, so I have worked at the majority of all the nursing homes and hospitals in the Valley throughout my career. When I chose this one I had reservations due to my past experience in ALL of the homes! However, I was delightfully surprised with the entire facility and the MARVELOUS staff! I received optimal care and concern, as well as respect throughout my ordeal! The meals were very well prepared and quite tasty. The services rendered allowed me the privilege to experience how MUCH of an impact it makes on the patient AND the family when the complete facility works as a unified unit with the patient being a priority! I THANK each and every m
