River's Edge Hospital & Clinic

Looping back on this now that I have moved away from St. Peter, only to notice my prior review had been taken down. I’ve gone to River’s Edge Urgent Care several times as a Gustavus student and have received poor care. One most notable instance was when my eye was swollen shut with a stye, and I waited alone (nobody ahead of me) for almost two hours to be seen. When I was finally seen by the doctor, it was for less than one minute. I ended up needing to see an ophthalmologist and had an eyelid surgery to remove the chalizion that ended up developing. I also had come in many times due to fevers and sinus infections and was sent away with antibiotics each time, with no referral to experts. I ended up developing chronic sinusitis and needed sinus surgery. Very expensive! Another notable

I had a total hip replacement done by Dr. Paul Mattson from Orthopedic Fracture Clinic based in Mankato(equally as AWESOME). Surgery was done here in St. Peter. The staff here was AWESOME, very friendly and very accommodating. I had an overnight stay and was very comfortable. Food was fantastic! Cannot say enough good about the experience. Just have to say i was seen in urgent care in mankato and they missed the issue and pushed me thru with tons of tests and no real concern to my concern of this is slowly getting worse. I ended up worse, in more pain to the point of tears, fever sweats, and i am one that if i come in, i might be a dead guy walking by the time i finally decide to be seen. I will say treatment and concern for my issue was night and day. I was given antibiotics, immediate numbing which took pain away, and treatment with detailed what to expect in days ahead. I just felt that they actually cared for me here especially since i had just been seen the day prior so i had a good comparison. I have heard good things about st peter and in future will be back when i need help again that is urgent. Was a fast easy

Patient for orthopedic surgery. Stayed one night. From reception , The surgical team and med surg staff, best care ever! Very patient centered !

This is more directed at the review left by @eggric L... First of all, it's Physician Associate.....NOT "physicians assistant." Let's get our name right, because I am one....who has practiced for 20 years now. Please be mindful of how you speak to us providers, who, as you say, may actually save your life one day; as opposed to impugning our medical expertise. You also seem adamant about leaving negative reviews everywhere you go. Perhaps you need to focus on some positivity in your life.
