Wonderful staff! Vet tech Tay was very friendly, and attentive. She gave Magic lots of love. Dr Travis did a thorough examination and she took time to explain everything. They made sure Magic was handled with the upmost care. Friendly vet office. I highly recommend.

The crew at River Road worked us in for an Urgent Care visit on New Year's Eve as a new client and did an excellent work up on our pup. While he has a lot going on medically they did a great job of getting us on our way until we can get to our regular vet once home from vacation. Thorough, helpful, and cheerful. Thank you!

I have been a client of River Road for 9 years. They consistently provide exceptional care for my pets. The Drs and staff are so caring and compassionate. They go above and beyond to provide the best possible care for my pets. They coordinate with NC State and other external experts when needed. I cannot recommend this practice highly enough! Just two examples of their excellent care. Recently my dog Mac was discharged fron NC State with a terminal diagnosis. Dr Derby and the staff did not give up on him. Through a combination of treatments they literally saved his life. 9 years ago we moved here from VA. My senior dog Ellie could barely walk. Dr Travis used a combination of cool laser, acupuncture and pain meds to give her three years of mobility, beach walks and joy.

I love River Road Animal Hospital. They are very attentive to my pets needs and always keep Me informed. Every single person you meet is kind, goes out of their way to help and they ALL love the animals that come in the door. I love that after every pet visit, even well visits they always text me the next day to see how my baby is doing. Dr. Steelman takes great care of my babies and she is the best! Very patient, not just with my babies but also with me.
