Rio Vista Post Acute And Rehabilitation

I spent 2 weeks at Rio Vista and I was a little nervous at first because I have never been to any kind of place like this but the staff was very friendly and made me feel welcomed. I love how they have different kinds of activities to keep patients entertained such as Bingo, Uno, and movies and popcorn. Everyone really helped make my stay comfortable. I appreciate all of my nurses and everyone at Rio Vista for giving me a great experience.

My son was in there for almost 2 weeks. They transferred him from the hospital to that facility. He was released with home health care due to he still needs treatment on his foot. I live almost 2 hours away and when I went to set up the nurse coming to the house I was informed they don't come out this far. I have tried for 3 days to get in touch with the facility to see what we need to do for my son. I have called and been transferred with no response of them answering. I have left multiple voicemail messages asking for a return call so I know what we need to do again, no response. The front desk advised me they handed them the message of me calling and I should get a call, still no call. I went ahead and set up a appointment with a primary care doctor in hopes of getting some assista

I was at Rio Vista for a little over two months. I have never been at a rehabilitation facility before. I have visited loved ones at other facilities and was not very pleased with the staff and it constantly smelled really bad. However at Rio Vista the place didn't smell. The staff was AWSUM very attentive to your needs. The therapy was the best. My therapists were Jason, Mitch, Lacey and the rest of the therapist was very professional and made my physical rehab possible. When I first arrived I couldn't even get up out of bed let alone roll over. In a matter of two months I was able to walk out of the facility. My gratefulness can not be explained in words THANK YOU RIO VISTA!!!!!!!!!!!!

Staff on the patient care floors are extremely unfriendly to visitors as well as patients. This was obvious on my first visit to see my mother and continued on each visit. After 5 days I had her discharged to remove her from the environment. Do not take a loved one to this facility if you want them looked after by a caring and friendly staff. Call lights are ignored for up to 20 minutes. While waiting for the discharge process, I overheard foul language among staff while in a room with two patients. I can’t express enough to not have a love one brought to this facility.

I'd like to thank the Rio Vista physical therapy department for a wonderfully quick rehab after hip surgery. Specifically Lacey, Tami, Skylar, Milan and Clara....I couldn't have had such successful results without your help. I'll be back to see you guys for the other hip.
