I had an infected ingrown toenail. I called Thursday and had an appointment Monday. The receptionist was so kind. Dr. Angermeier saw me promptly and took care of the issue quickly. He made sure all of my questions were answered. I saw a podiatrist in the area about the same issue, but refused to acknowledge it due to it being the third toe. I highly recommend!

Dr. Hensley is amazing. Great for cash pay too. The insoles she made me have helped immensely.

I had such a great experience with Dr. Rachel Hensley at Richmond Foot & Ankle. From the moment I walked in, she was incredibly friendly and easy to talk to—it honestly felt like chatting with a friend who genuinely cared. She took her time with me, never rushed, and really focused on giving me practical tools to help manage my bunion pain. What stood out most was how knowledgeable and honest she was. It became clear very quickly that she knows her stuff. She even pointed out a few things my previous podiatrist had recommended that weren’t actually the best fit for me—which I really appreciated. Had an ingrown toenail removed. Work was fine. Except they overcharged me $30 and didn’t tell me. I only found out when they internally updated their payment system and it sent out an automated email saying I had an outstanding balance of -$30. I called the office for clarification, thinking maybe I screwed up, and they admitted they in fact owed me the money and would send a check. They never sent it or I never received it. Called again to confirm my current address and they said they already had the correct address but would resend the check anyway. I never received it. It’s been almost a year and I still have not gotten the money. The dollar amount isn’t huge but the principle is. One time is an oversight. What’s three times? Highly recommend! 2 weeks ago a stick punctured the top of my foot. I saw a provider at a well known podiatry office and she removed a piece of wood; however my foot wasn’t healing and was still in a lot of pain. I went back to the other office and they told me I had to wait 1.5 wks and go to an outpatient surgery center to try again. I reached out to Dr. Hensley’s office to explain the situation and they were able to quickly get me in for another opinion. Dr. Hensley numbed my foot and was able to retrieve another piece of wood chip right in the office. I am SO thankful I got her opinion and she was able to help resolve this issue faster while saving a trip to the OR!!! Very kind and thorough. Thank you!!!!
